Sue Hough has led a variety of projects using the Dutch approach to school mathematics ? RME - ?realisable? (realistic) mathematics education. She was involved in the NCETM KS3 multiplicative reasoning project and has just completed a Nuffield funded project using the RME approach with GCSE resit students. What is special about RME? And what has Sue learnt about effective CPD that makes a difference for learners? Come along and find out.
